Scot and I have been in New York visiting my sister Kristina and her family. We have been having a fun relaxing time. Scot loves being here! He has been enjoying being able to go outside and play without being called back by mommy because he is too close to the road. :)
While I have been here I've been trying to get Scot on a schedule. The poor guy has been messed up I think from all the changes in his little life. I see a lot of frustration in him and I really think it comes from Daddy being away (thankfully Daddy will be home for a two week visit next month!! yay!!!). Before I came I had ordered a children's bible story book along with a night time bible story book and bed time cd's that play bible stories and music. We have been reading them together before he goes to bed and he listens to his cd's while he falls asleep. I've seen a huge change in him being excited to go to bed! YAY! We read the stories together and he loves it. He points to the pictures and smiles and laughs. When we finish we pray together and then he points to his bed! This is so exciting to me because before he would get so discouraged at bed time. Daddy used to put him to bed and now that he is in Iraq of course Mommy gets to do it. I don't mind at all and have really started to love these special times with my little man BUT it has taken us a while to get to this point. I am realizing how much Scotty loves his Daddy and how much we both need him home with us. Each day is a day closer to him coming home. Once we get back to Mom and Dad's it will only be a week until he is here for his R&R! I try not to think about it too much because I feel like I can't wait any longer if I do! It will be so wonderful to be together as a family again!! We are taking this deployment one day at a time.. With the Lord's help we are getting through it. I am so thankful that I have Scot.. he keeps me going. I need to get to bed but just wanted to post something real quick!
Hugs!

Here is a picture of something else Scot has learned to do while we have been visiting Auntie Kristina! :)
